Bonneville Power Administration Transmission Line Siting Coordination

The State of Washington, through the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC), has agreed to cooperate with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) in siting of federal electric energy transmission facilities in Washington State. Currently EFSEC is working with BPA on the following three proposed transmission lines:

BPA as part of its decision-making process will be preparing Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for each of these projects. BPA has requested, and EFSEC has agreed to be a cooperating agency under NEPA for each EIS. EFSEC is also helping coordinate state comments on these projects to ensure that these proposed transmission lines meet applicable substantive state standards.
