State Implementation Plan

On May 30, 2017 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it's approval of EFSEC's State Implementation Plan (SIP). The approved SIP allows EFSEC to issue federally-delegated Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) air quality permits to EFSEC-licensed facilities. The SIP effective date is June 29, 2017.

In 2015, as a precondition to submitting it's updated SIP, EFSEC updated it's air quality rules contained in chapter 463-78 WAC to be consistent with federal regulations. Administrative record documents related to the 2015 rulemaking are on the past rulemaking page below the table.
