On November 5, 2025, EFSEC filed a preproposal statement of inquiry (commonly referred to as a CR-101) announcing its intention to update the rules in chapters 463-30, 463-60, and 463-72 WAC. The CR-101, published in the Washington State Register as WSR 25-22-105, noted the purpose of this rulemaking as providing additional and clarifying guidance regarding formal and informal procedures detailed in these chapters.
As part of this rulemaking process, EFSEC will hold a virtual workshop on January 8, 2026, from 9:30am to 10:30am to share more information about the changes we expect to propose and to receive feedback prior to filing the draft language as part of the CR-102 process and holding a formal public hearing.
