How we conduct studies
The Legislature may ask us to study specific energy topics. These studies can help the Legislature with policymaking.
In some cases, we might hire a third-party outside organization to conduct the study and create a report for us. In other cases, we’ll lead a discussion with other agencies, the public, stakeholders and/or tribes to gather feedback and expert opinions to inform our report.
In most cases, the report will recommend actions to the Legislature.
