Environmental review

We’ll prepare a document about your facility’s likely negative effects on the environment. Before releasing it, we may work with you and others to find ways to reduce those effects.

Land use and adjudication

Energy facilities need to follow their local area’s land use plans and zoning ordinances. We’ll hold hearings to discuss your facility’s compliance with these and other requirements.

Final recommendation and governor's decision

Before your facility gets approval, you’ll need to propose the conditions for building and operating it. The governor will then review your plan and either approve or reject it.

Application review

Your application will include details about your proposed facility and its potential effects on the environment. You can also request an optional review to get feedback before applying.

Permits and compliance
