About this milestone
The goal of our ongoing oversight is to:
- Monitor the effects of building and operating a facility
- Ensure that the certificate holder complies with the requirements of their SCA and permits
If the facility isn’t compliant, we can issue fines or take other actions.
Facility inspections
Other state agencies and contractors may perform on-site inspections on our behalf.
Involvement of federal agencies
Federal agencies may also oversee the facility. If so, we’ll work with them to ensure we aren’t duplicating their work.
