The Council adopted an order of land use consistency for this project on September 25, 2023.
Description
We held a virtual land use consistency hearing for the Carriger Solar project on April 25, 2023, at the Goldendale Grange Hall and virtually.
After consideration of all submitted documents and comments, our Council granted the applicant's request for a finding of land use consistency. While two-thirds of the project is located in Klickitat County's Energy Overlay Zone, which permits solar energy facilities, another portion of the project is located in an Extensive Agriculture district and will need to apply for permitting as a conditional use.
