Description
On June 27, 2024, Goldfinch Energy Storage, LLC, submitted an application for site certification (ASC) for a stand-alone 200-megawatt/800-megawatt/hour battery energy storage system (BESS) with related interconnection and ancillary support infrastructure.
The proposed facility will not generate electricity but rather provide a service to the regional electric grid by receiving energy (charging) from the Puget Sound Energy (PSE) electric transmission system, storing energy on site, and then later delivering energy (discharging) back to the point of interconnection.
We held an informational public meeting and land use consistency hearing at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center and virtually on August 13, 2024.
